Stiffords Redevelopment Plan
Starting as tenant and residents association, Stifford centre evolved into a community hub providing a range of services to local community. We have a proven track record in delivering and providing health advocacy work, education and training projects tackling health inequality, unemployment and deprivation within and outside Tower Hamlets.
Over the years, the demand of the centre’s project has expanded consistently in line with the increase in number of people living and working in Tower Hamlets. The Executive Committee therefore decided to increase the capacity of the centre into a multi-purpose four storied building. Planning permission has already been secured and construction work is due to start in the beginning of next year and completed by the summer of 2012.
As a result, Stifford will consolidate and extend on existing services to deliver a wider range of services thereby creating jobs and social enterprise opportunities that would ultimately contribute our vision of bringing prosperity to Stepney green and impacting on the wider society.

In addition to the existing services, the new building will provide the following services:
• GP surgery
• Pharmacy
• Crèche Facilities
• Elders Day Care
• Café 
• IT Centre
• Halls and seminar rooms for hire
