Want to become a Volunteer Health Champion?

Our community Volunteer Health Champions Project aims to recruit and train local people to support deliver the local Health Trainers Service in order to encourage and empower residents to lead healthier lifestyles. They are committed to working closely with other service providers to deliver a universal service to the residents of Tower Hamlets.

The key role of a Volunteer Health Champion:

In order to meet the above, the ideal candidate should:

Once recruited onto the programme, Volunteer Health Champions will receive ongoing training, support and regular supervision to enable them to carry out their role. They undertake their activities in a range of community settings, such as community centres, GP surgeries, Idea Stores, shopping centres and at local events.

Volunteer Health Champions make a real difference in the community. It is also an exciting opportunity to get to know the local community, to meet new people and to gain new skills, nationally recognised qualifications and work experience.
